MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: (List the day to day duties of this role and additional responsibilities)
q Provide level 1 support to users – diagnose and distill technology issues raised by the user community into actionable events for IT

q Supervise requirements gathering from the user community for enhancements and platform expansion
q Meet with subject matter experts from the business line to determine reporting requirements
q Ensure that the project sponsor signs-off the requirements.
q Follow project change request procedure and log all requirements changes.
q Analyze the impact of requirements changes on commitments, project plans and work products.
q Support development and testing cycles and manage UAT.
q Manage daily information capture and enrichment to ensure overall data integrity and accuracy

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS (Please list all the skills that the candidate must have in order to be considered for this job.)

1. Intermediate SQL skills and an understanding of RDBMS technology (Oracle)
2. Proven communications skills across all levels of the business
3. MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
4. Project management skills and techniques including resource, schedule planning, risk tracking, status reporting.



DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS (Please list all the skills that would be “a plus” for the applicant to have)
1. Understanding of three-tier, enterprise application architecture – experience with J2EE a plus
2. Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence projects a plus

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND (Please list industry background that the candidate must have in order to be considered.)

1. Candidate should have at least +10 years of IT Development Project Life Cycle as a Business Analyst
2. Domain Expertise in multiple product areas with a major Investment Bank
3. Management experience

DESIRED WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND(Please list industry background that would be “a plus” for the applicant to have.)

Candidate should have 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry with a minimum of 5 years supporting Investment Banking IT projects in a major investment bank. Emphasis on transaction processing systems and knowledge of the full transaction lifecycle. Candidate should also possess intermediate knowledge of transaction mechanics and market structure for all major product classes and instrument types: fixed income, treasury products, listed and OTC derivatives, and equity.

Experience with data warehousing and reporting projects is a plus.
